Vayu, the lord of the winds and a deity shared between Hindus and Iranians, has a dualistic nature of good and evil since the wind blows through both the world of good and the world of evil. This design presents a two-headed snake, a holy being in Iranian culture as well as others, which is feeding on a pool of blood. Shamsa which is the symbol of balance and order can be observed therein. This shape which has been used in mysticism, theology and astronomy is one of mankind’s first attempts at understanding and conveying the concept of order and unity in nature.
